The Autobots and Decepticons are engaged in a civil war. The game can be played starting from either faction's perspective, but begins chronologically with the Decepticon campaign.

The game revolves around the use of a substance known as Dark Energon, which the evil Decepticon leader Megatron believes will allow him to return the planet to what he refers to as a golden age. War for Cybertron is set on the planet Cybertron, prior to the Transformers' contact with the planet Earth.

The Decepticon story is told in the first five chapters of the game, with the Autobot story directly following it.

Climb up the yellow taped box in the room to get through the broken window. When you drop down, take the first left, left again at the end, then head up the stairs. Head up the second flight of stairs and shoot the zombie. Keep heading upwards, and follow the only way forward until you reach a desk. Pick up the key.

Head back the way you came and down the stairs. A couple more zombies will be there to greet you.

Take a left at the bottom of the stairs. Then a right, and head straight through the first door on the left that you see. Head immediately left in the room and up the small staircase to the door to use the key. Congratulations, that’s your first taste of the Resident Evil 2 Remake.
